Entertaining a Sheltie

I'm hoping someone can give my some ideas on how I can entertain my Pepper dog. She doesn't understand why she can't have her normal fun time.

Long story short, I took her in for a dental cleaning and unfortunately she had a crack in a tooth and it was extracted. She is acting her normal spirited self, and really, really wants some playtime. Usually her go-to fun time is frisbee in the yard, or indoor fetch and tug-o-war. She really likes to chase a laser pointer but she tends to dive into things face first, so that probably isn't the best idea. I've walked her, etc., but it is cold and rainy here now and I have a bored little sheltie on my hands. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

One of the most tiring things is learning a new trick. Can you teach her a new trick and reward her with baby food or something soft?

You can play scenting games. Hide treats around a room and have her go find them. Hide a treat in different boxes and have her show you which one has the treat (by sitting, or barking, or something).

Teach her 'around' as prep for her flyball career :biggrin2: I actually have a cone but anything will work. Teach her to go out and around it. Then move it up on the couch for some motocross
