Equipment

The dog walk, hands down. Of the three contacts, this is the only one that Edan has absolutely NO hesitation with.

The A-frame is still an 'on/off' response (see my post about our mock trial) and the Teeter he freezes at the pivot (he actually use to cross it but something scared him).

I am lucky as I have had no problems with any of the contact obstacles.Everyone trains different. The seesaw I was showed by a world team member a fews ago on how they get awesome seesaws and I used it with both my guys and they slam it down. Both dogs go right to the end with no hestitation. The A-frame I think is the easiest as it it is the widest of the three. The dog walk in my foundations class was taught different than what was taught to Shadow. We worked the down side first and then put it all together and now Sting will run across it no problem.I am going to start proofing contacts as soon as this miserable weather breaks. We are getting April showers for June and man it is cold. No Beach for us.

I haven't really trained too seriously, but the easiest for Belle is the teeter she will run down to the end and wait for it to hit the ground before she jumps off. what I am having trouble with is the A-frame she jumps off about half way down.

I think the A-frame has been the easiest for Bentley. We just started doing a running A-frame rather than the 2o2o, so he's working on flying the top.

On the teeter and dog walk he tends to slow down at the end, so we're having to work on that.

For Zoe, our American Eskimo, the jumps were the easiest. She was terrified of the teeter moving under her feet and the bumping sound it makes when it lands.

Indy got to test some of the agility equipment in her puppy class and she took to the tunnels like she'd been doing it all her life! Indy didn't like the teeter either though.
We're going to enroll her in a beginning agility class next year probably. She has to complete the adult obedience I class before moving on to agility.

My agility pups all loved the jumps, but surprisingly the tunnel was also easy to learn. Our trainer closed it up so it was really short to start them off, and then gradually made it longer and in one session they were whipping through it. Unless someone had dropped a treat in the middle of course...

Spencer's favorite is the A-Frame. As for the Dog Walk, it's touch and go whether he jumps off or hits the contact. And the teeter! Well, that's another story and one we still need to work on.
