Evans Syndrome is an uncommon condition defined by the combination (either concurrently or sequentially) of an attack on two or more lines of blood, including red blood cells (Autoimmune Hemolytic anemia), platelets (Ideopathic Thrombocytopenia or ITP), and white blood cells, also known as leukocytes. This occurs when the immune system mistakenly targets these cells for destruction, and the spleen subsequently destroys them.

Causes for this disease are varied. Our sheltie was diagnosed with Evans Syndrome 4 weeks ago and euthanized yesterday. My question is... should I advise the breeder from where I purchased this dog 18 months ago, that he had this?

I am so sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you.

Yes, I would mention it to the breeder, if only so they can make a note of it in their own records.
 
I would also tell the breeder so that they can keep track of it as well.

I am so sorry for your loss, I certainly would inform the breeder. I believe its info she would want to know, and document.
