I cannot tell you how excited I am to find this chat. I was a member of a awesome chat group around 8 years ago and still have friends from there to this day....I went to work and life got complicated and I drifted.
I find myself in a quite unique position: 54 years old and not working for the first time since I was 15. Needless to say I am totally bored stupid lol My house is so clean it is pathetic. I thought about what I would enjoy and a Sheltie Group was one of the first things I thought of!

I live in Ft. Worth with my husband Michael who is a baseball umpire and is at the field all the time this time of year. We have a lovely home in the country with 2 acres. We have three furkids: Bonny Prince Charles my beloved, wonderful tri-colour Sheltie. Next is a Rough Collie (Lassie size) Winscotts Flying V McFlynn and last but never least Col William Wallace our oldest.

Both my husband, who is from Philadelphia and I are just over the top with our furkids. We also feed the deer corn and have had as many as 14 at a time...right now we have two mums with fawns. Our back acre is a "animal safe" zone.

I look very forward to meeting you guys. Do you have a scheduled chat?

Is there a way to attach a photo to the email...can't seem to find it!

Susan

Hi Susan! And welcome! We are glad that you joined us. I'm currently not working right now (still looking!) and do spend a bit too much time on the forum because of it...

Unfortunately, right now our forum doesn't have the chat capability.

But, we have a "Chit Chat" section of the forum for Premium Members where we can post and talk about anything we'd like (meaning non-sheltie related).

The other perk of being a Premium Member is that you can post pictures in albums on this site, as well as post pictures in your post. It's only $25/year and it helps our moderators keep the site going.

You can also post pictures on a free website (like Picasa or Shutterfly) and share the link here if you'd like.

Again, welcome!

Hi Susan!

My name is Lori and I live in Argyle (right next to Denton) TX. Welcome! I am also 54 years old. I have a two and a half year old female Sheltie named Ellie Mae. She is a sable merle.

Good to see another Texan and one so close! We have several members from the DFW area that I am sure will chime in. We have GOT to all get together with our furbabies once the weather gets MUCH cooler. How about your house? LOLOL!!

WELCOME! Where's the pics?? We are obsessive here!

Hi Susan and welcome! I feed the deer too. I have a little herd of 6 regulars (as many as 12 in the winter), who all have names of course, and every July they bring the babies for me to see. It's so cool! We also get wild turkeys under the bird feeder, fox, blue herons and other assorted wildlife but the deer are my favorite.

Of course, look out if the Sheltie herd is outside! I've only been able to train one not to "herd" them. :uhoh:

Look forward to hearing more about your gang and pictures!

Welcome Susan and the Scots Gang in Fort Worth! Want to come clean house at my place! SNORT!! :biggrin2:
