Farewell, Annie Laurie

You and Annie Laurie have been such a big part of this Forum since it began, Chris. We will all miss her. She had a beautiful send-off, and was a lucky girl to have spent her life with both of you. Sending you hugs.
 
My heartfelt condolences to you both. It's always so so hard to say goodbye to your best friend...I'm so glad you were able to make it to say goodbye to your sweet girl Annie Laurie.
 
My sincere condolences, it seems that Annie Laurie was a very very special girl. My thoughts for your family and Annie's daddy.
My Shadow waited for me to get home for his last day a few years ago, although losing a fur baby is always hard, being there and knowing the passing was peaceful and surrounded by love helps a bit.
 
I got about halfway through this before I had to stop since I was at work and already crying from seeing your post on FB. My heart goes out to you and even more so to your husband. I read what he wrote and gawd, I sat here crying for a few minutes. Rarely does a dog like that come into your life; the kind that becomes a part of you, really part of you. Annie Laurie was such a special girl, I hope she's playing or maybe policing the playing, over the Bridge. Hugs.

Our friend who is an animal communicator told us she has become a Guardian. When new arrivals are frightened or confused, she helps them find their way. She will always be Annie Laurie.
 
I am so sorry for your loss. Annie Laurie waited for your return. So sweet of your sister and your vets to be by
her side. Thanks so much for sharing her last moments. Hugs to you and your husband.

I feel so sad for you. Dogs are such a big part of our families and it just breaks our hearts to say goodbye.
