Fill in the blanks: I secretly love...

I love it that as soon as I sit in the recliner (which isn't often!!) Asta comes over and just looks at me with eyes shining and a big smile on - "Oh boy! Chair time!" So I have to haul her up into my lap, all 30 pounds of her, and she immediately cuddles in and goes to sleep. So whatever I'm trying to do, read, write or whatever, pretty soon, my head is nodding and I'm fighting to stay awake! Darn dog is so fluffy, warm, cozy and relaxed, it just puts me out.

Oh! that sounds like exactly what this wet, cold day needs! A sheltie blanket!

I secretly love that if I begin to doze off before Mavis does at night I'll have a pushy sheltie nose pushing my hand up for more head pets before she falls asleep. :sleepy:

I secretly love it when ...Brandi glues herself to me first thing in the morning looking to sniff my face and give me kisses - she's my <3 doggie!

I secretly love that when the snore monster invades our house and either my husband or I have to retreat to a different room to get quiet, the dogs always stay with me. I love that Casey feels it is his job to protect me, so he is always right by my feet. I love how Clarabelle dances on her hind legs to get treats. I love that Tara gets so excited to get outside she can't control which direction her legs are going in. I love that Bonnie will bat me with her paw to remind me that she isn't being petted enough- and that no amount of petting is EVER enough. I love that Annabelle hokds her head downward and looks up with her eyes to get herself out of trouble.

I love that when we get to sleep in on the weekends Shelby will put her front legs and face up on the bed (she can't jump up on it) to look and make sure we are still alive. Then she will lay back down and back asleep. Love that face in the morning.

Also love moving to the other bedroom when the "snore monster" hits. This is "Shelby's" room and she can get in this bed, so she follows me in there and curls up at my legs.

I love it when Bela is so happy to be let back in after her morning potty that she bounces all over the living room. She probably never experienced this kind of happiness in her former puppy mill life. She just looks so incredibly happy.

I also love it that when DH calls her (or sister Gracie) they both come running to me.!

I secretly love that Callie will sit on my lap, but no on my husband's. If she jumps up on his lap it's only to eat any crumbs that might have fallen. She'll frequently come sit on my lap for pets and hugs though.

Love my Callie!

I secretly love that Koji is on alert when I walk him at 12-5am. I feel safer knowing he alerts me to anyone around me (it's his reactivity issues that he's like this, so it's not necessarily a good thing).

With Miko, there is no secrets about what I love about him. LOL. He's a non-Sheltie Sheltie and such a wonderful dog. He's been easy, so what's not to openly love?
