well, I know that many of you followed Callie's story last year and know that I lost her in August.
well, I started looking for a puppy within a couple weeks. CranDix's breeder was going to breed her tri girl to this gorgeous biblue boy- I was excited for that but for many reasons, it did not happen.
I had seen on another website a planned breeding with the same boy so I immediately contacted that breeder who was just about to update the website with a change in the sire for that breeding.
so I gave up and contacted the owner of the boy. well, a litter was due at the end of that week- this was September but no puppy from that litter for me. I was totally set on getting a blue pup- hopefully on the smaller side so I wouldn't be completely crazy running 3 dogs in 16".
well there was only one blue in that litter and the breeder was going to keep him. then friends at an agility trial told me of another litter so I contacted that breeder- and was told that those pups would be on the larger side. and then another breeder- 3 planned AOAC litters- got on the waiting list but only 2 litters and not enough pups to get to me.
so back to breeder #1 who said if I hadn't found a puppy yet, contact her - another litter after Thanksgiving might have a blue.
and then I met her at a dog show in Dec- I went to watch my friend show her Irish Setter pup and of course, check out the shelties while there.
and the breeder was there and we talked and she said to email her in a couple weeks about the blue in that litter. of course, the breeder wanted to keep that one too.
so I broke down and asked if any of the black pups had blazes and she sent me a pic so now I have a biblack boy- Jocu.

and I didn't have to drive more than 5 minutes to pick the boy up.....

required pix are here-

and Toffeesmom couldn't hold out with her news until the boy actually came home:lol::razz:

I'm so delighted for you - he is gorgeous and definitly worth the wait. Sometimes things are meant to be :biggrin2:

I wish you every happiness in the world with him.:biggrin2:

(All these stunning bi-blacks on here are sending me into meltdown!)

I look forward to hearing and seeing regular updates of course. :smile2:

What a saga! It's so funny how it all works out sometimes. Now you will be able to add to the "do bi-blacks have a different temperament" post! :biggrin2:

Jocu is really handsome with that big wide blaze. What do Cran and Dixie think?

We are suddenly having a big influx of SN folk with bi-blacks!!
