Floppy ears

Does anyone else have a Sheltie with floppy ears? We have litermates and our male's ears are floppy while our female's stick straight up. No flip on the tip. It doesn't matter to us since we don't plan to show them, just curious if any one else has a floppy eared sheltie!

I posted pics under our welcome post near the end of January titled "New in PA"

Thanks!
Julie

Oh, yes, I've got floppy ears....in fact, I wonder if our pups are related......Seems your pup is a red sable as well......

Here is Bacca.....I tried to tip and brace his ears but his ear membrane was so thin it just would not hold.

He is coming up to 4 years now. So I'm attaching pictures of him recent and when he was a teenager .....

I call him Eeyore because his droopy ears give him such a "sad sack" face....

BarbV....He is SOOOO adorable! Thank you so much for sharing the pics with me! It's nice to see another one with floppy ears.....it really does make them cute!

BTW - I think I was wrong about the title to my welcome post.....I think it was "Hello from PA"

Maverick, pic#1, has total floppy ears. He did not come with any papers and I suspect some border collie in him. Mind you his brother and half brother both have ears that stand straight up.
Ryder, pic #2 the dog on camera right, has one ear which stands up and the other ear tips properly. Ryder did come with registered papers and his ears were glued. I never continued to glue them because I did not really care if they stood up. Yet I never thought he would end up with two very different looking ears.

Annie Laurie has the most flexible ears -- so expressive! She can go from hound dog to perfectly tipped in a nanosecond. Here's a floppy look:

So cute!

Such cute Sheltie's on here! Maverick and Ryder are adorable with their dark fur....isn't that funny how Ryder's ears are both different....it just gives him extra personality.

Didn't see a picture attached for Annie Laurie....but she sounds kind of like our Lucy. Her ears are completely straight up most of the time but she is so funny how she can make them go up and down all day depending on what she is doing or what she is hearing. I tease her that her ears must get tired from going up and down all day!
