I'm a good hour out, but I'll tell my friends who live on that side of the Bay. Poor baby is probably distressed and confused. I would also contact the Mid Florida Sheltie Rescue in case she gets turned in there. Local vets could be on alert for the microchip. I do so hope she gets found!!
 
There is a great website that has ideas on what do about a lost pet. I know Petfinder.com gives great suggestions as well, but to name a few:

Post fliers at ALL schools, post offices, grocery stores, place ads in local newspapers. Perhaps find a radio station that might give a few seconds of free air time to broadcast it. Call the animal shelters, even the high-kill ones :dead:.

Like you said, kids see everything and money/gifts sure motivate them. :wink2:

I was told that the rescue was contacted, as well as all the local shelters.

Here are some other things that were done:


  • Clothing from Judy was left at the new home....where she got away that has Judy's scent on it.
  • www.findtoto.com was used to make phone calls in the area
  • The dogs best friend was walked around the neighborhood during dusk to see if she could smell her friend and come out.
  • Flyers were put up in the area and around the schools.
  • Rewards were list on the flyers.
  • Darla Duffey was contacted to give help with finding Ruffles.
  • People have been asked to put the flyer up on their Facebook accounts. BTW...if anyone would like to help with that and have a facebook account, please contact me via PM and I can contact you.
