Great idea to start a forum!
My husband and I live in WV, and have three dogs, two cats, and four guinea pigs.
Our current sheltie, Snowy, is the star of the show!
We rescued her from a shelter in Ky. She is deaf, mute (completely), partially blind, and has a club foot, but she still has all the Sheltie spirit!

She loves to read Sheltie Nation!

I'm so glad that there are people like you in the worls..nowadays, many people wouldn't even consider having a special needs animal. You are defenitely an angel:wink2:

After seeing all the people on Sheltie Nation and here, I am sure there are many other people out there that would do the same for a sweet dog like her, I am sure! She came into our life at the perfect time, it must have been fate.

We had just recently lost our Sheltie Tommy, whom we had taken in as a senior and had for two years. We were heartbroken, and I was cruising Petfinder and saw this little face:

After some wormings, dentals (with many teeth pulled), good food, and lots of brushing, she turned into this:

Snowy is a beauty! What unusual coloring. You are very lucky to have found each other, and Snowy is especially fortunate to have a home with you.

Snowy is such a beautiful girl! The difference you have made for her is obvious in those pictures, she looks like such a happy girl now :smile2:

Thank you, tehluhlah! Snowy is from your neck of the woods actually, we found her at a rescue in Frankfort.
