Gavin keeps me up at night

well, he literally jumps on the bed next to my head :) The way the ramps are set up so the angle is as gentle as possible, the platform is not by my feet but my head.

It's no wonder you wake up then lol!

But you gotta love them, you'd probably wake up if he didn't come on the bed. Early this morning I woke up (probably 6:30) and noticed that Piper wasn't on the bed...I could tell right away he wasn't there. Then I saw him sleeping on the floor beside the bed. He probably jumped off to get some water (he almost needs a ramp, he's on the smaller size) and didn't want to come back up but I didn't like waking up and not seeing him.

So I am sleeping through most of his visits..but damn he is a bed hog!
He literally takes up half of the bottom of my bed pushing me far to the side.
Of course, it is worth it to wake up to me him next to me :)

Yes, indeed it is!
You are cherishing every moment with your dear Gavin. As it should be!

Warm hugs to you both!
:hugs

That makes total sense. Poor Mr Chance could no longer climb stairs and he was much too large to carry him up and down stairs. It would have been too dangerous anyway. He lost all his hearing and his sight was not too good either. Since I had a second floor I decided all the dogs would stay downstairs to keep him company. He deserved all the comfort and support I could give him.

So, it is very heartwarming to know how Gavin craves contact with you. So comforting! He is the sweetest of shelties!
