Teddy is not a jumper but likes car rides so we use a foldable ramp so he can walk right in. It's also less punishment on his joints. So it's a win win.

I imagine Monty can’t wait to get to wherever you’re going so he can cause mass destructionSimilar to what Sharon said, I gave Monty a treat for getting in the car. I travel with Monty a lot sometimes hours a day so I also added that when-ever we got to our destination, the second we arrived I opened the door and I always made such a fuss of him, played with Mr Broccoli with him (his stuffed toy) and gave him a reward. I think it worked because now he dives into the car and gets so excited when we pull up, don't think he enjoys the car ride, just looks forward to the play and reward when we get to the destination.

Monty knows by now that a car takes him to new places where he can create havoc lol!
My new little guy, Finnegan, is learning to tolerate riding around. He started out (got him at 4 mo.) throwing up after about 10 min in the car. Started to time trips before he got fed. Helped a bit. Needless to say, he was very reluctant to get in the car. Crating was even an even worse idea for him. Then, I invested in a booster seat. Now that he is a year, it has not solved the nausea problem 100% but we’re close. He now gets in the car on his own and pops right onto his throne, like King Pup. Riding around town to visit Lowe’s, garden centers and pet stores is fine. The highway driving is another matter.Have this same issue with two of my three. Can jump on a high bed, but the car? Nope. With Eli, he just doesn't like the car. He always drools a bit, not sure if it's nausea or just anxiety. I'm going to try and train Juno to jump in by Sheep's method - treats on the floor mat first. She's still riding in a crate right now due to her nausea issues in the car. Littlest Meadow will jump right in.
yes, photos of Ozy, please!
Both my boys vomited in the car when young. I live on top of a hill in New England... for some reason or other, whoever created our roads here liked curvy roads, lots and lots and lots of curves. coming down our hill is s curve after s curve after s curve; get to the bottom and they'd vomit. I still always carry baggies and paper towels in the car. Took Deacon till about 2 before his belly adjusted to car rides. I used to have a booster, but I think looking out the window made things worse for him. I have a cover over the bench seat in my Yukon.. each boy has his side and his own cushy pad to chill out on.My new little guy, Finnegan, is learning to tolerate riding around.

Of course Blueberry ALWAYS managed to puke where I didn’t want her to. I could have the seat covered in paper towels or a seat cover and she’d lean forward and get the carpet…Both my boys vomited in the car when young.
