Good Morning from Kiyomi among the Roses

This picture was nearly an accident, Kiyomi paused during her morning walk as we passed our neighbor's rose bushes:

To see more photo albums of our 15-week-old Sheltie, we've shared them on flickr:

Vicky, Kiyomi, and I would like to say hello and thanks to every on Sheltie Forums. Over the past month, we've made some great friends and received some great advice. One of Kiyomi's brothers was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea, and the support we received was overwhelming and well-appreciated!

Thanks again and a warm hello & thank-you to everyone!

Thanks!

Kiyomi is the prettiest little girl. All the pictures were great! Thanx for sharing them.

Thanks!! ... We're trying to get Kiyomi used to longer and longer walks. She's doing well meeting people and other small dogs (Poms, Beagles, Bichon) but she's anxious around larger breeds. We were surprised to see her do so well meeting a 30lb Collie during this morning's first walk.

We'd eventually like to take her to Shenandoah and Catoctin for camping and hiking, but she's still a little young at this point.

The Northern Virginia Collie Club is hosting "Dog Days in August" next weekend for anyone interested:
...we already made plans next weekend, otherwise we'd go. We are planning on going to the Jade Mist (Shelties) Jamboree on October 3rd:
...if you're local to MD/DC/VA or have a Jade Mist Shetland Sheepdog, we'd love to meet you there!

Gorgeous

She is absolutely stunning! I love the natural non-posed picture of her. I'm sure she'll drag *you* on longer and longer walks here soon! With my Pap, since he is so small, it helps if I pick him up to meet other dogs. Or I'll kneel to his level and touch his back to make sure he knows I'm there. Of course, he hasn't been shy since he was half his size! I often have to make sure he isn't the one jumping all over the other dog! (He think he's a Dane, I swear...)

My Jade Mist pup, Bacca, sends hugs!

Kiyomi is a gorgeous pup and your photos are great. I think that profile shot with the roses in the background is beautiful.
