Goodbye my sweet Haley

I am so very sorry. Losing such a loving little companion is one of the hardest heartbreaks we face in life. In time happy memories will bring smiles, but it takes time to get past the pain and the emptiness to get to those smiles.

The Last Battle

If it should be that I grow frail and weak,
and pain should keep me from my sleep.
Then you will do what must be done,
for this last battle can't be won.

You will be sad I understand,
but don't let grief than stay your hand.
For on this day more than the rest,
your love and friendship must stand the test.

We've had so many happy years,
you would not want me to suffer so.
So when the time comes please let me go.

Take me to where my needs they'll tend,
only stay with me until the end,
hold me firm and speak to me
until my eyes can no longer see.

I know in time that you'll agree
this was the kindest thing you did for me.
Although, my tail it's last has waved,
from pain and suffering I have been saved.

Don't grieve that it must be you,
who has to decide this thing to do.
We've been so close we two, these years,
Don't let your heart hold any tears.

We were blessed to have you in our lives.
All the beautiful memories we have of you,
we will carry with us each and every day of our lives.

Rest in Peace, my loving and faithful companion.
Your battle is over.
You will be greatly missed!

So very sorry for your loss. The quiet house is the most difficult to deal with. Given time, that too will pass. But you never forget...

Miss AngelinaL, I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your companion, Haley, please accept my deepest condolences. All of us know the pain of losing our furbaby's, it is never easy. But with time the pain will lessen and it will get easier, will you forget, of course not, but you will be able to start remembering the good times with your Haley and even laugh as you recount some of her antics. Know that she is at the Bridge, whole and healthy again and waiting for you so she can once again be by her humans side. RIP Haley.

I'm so very sorry. I just lost my 6 year old boy to liver disease in February. Indy and I have been both lost souls. It took me 3 weeks to pick up his food dishes. I could not bear to put them away. Seemed so final.

But he will never actually leave you. He'll be there in your heart forever.

Hugs

Another little sheltie soul has gone over the bridge. Hope you will soon be able to smile when you think of her. Our condolences go out to you.
