goodbye to buscuit ...in her memory

Wow I hope they catch the second Coyote soon so no one else is hurt. Rabies is scary and heaven forbid a kid gets bitten next.

I am so sorry to hear about Biscuit. I am glad to hear the prognosis for Dennis is good. I hope he continues to recover and fully heal from his wounds.

In Toronto, the coyotes are getting bolder in the ravine areas. They have killed at least 1 small dog, attacked several others, and have been spotted many times in daylight hours. There is mixed opinion by dog owners about the coyotes (i.e. are coyotes encroaching human communities or are we building homes and encroaching their environment?).

My thoughts are with you and your neighbor hood friends. May Biscuit rest in peace knowing how his buddy tried so hard to save her life.

oh my word, this is so sad and strange!!!
Worst I have heard around here is that racoons have been seen in yards.. but to think that Coyotes are coming is just AWFUL!?
The owners must be devastated! How sad, poor little Biscuit!

i think were imposing on their territory, it's insane how many ugly houses they try and stuff into a once beautiful forest or field they need to just pack the more into the busy cities and keep them out of the country.

We have been offered more then once to sell our land but refuse everytime and so do the neighbors thank goodness.

also update on Dennis the post op infection is clearing with the antibiotics, he still needs another surgery tomorrow for his leg they are hoping to put stints in so the bone can heal properly

Dennis goes home tomorrow, his infection is almost cleared and his surgery today went very well, the bone was not as damaged as they thought so recovery will be quick. As for other coyote, it wasn't found but the virus may have taken him since soon after showing the signs of rabies the animal usually looses it's life in 3-5 days, hopefully it hasn't spread to any others around the area

The family also is looking into getting another sheltie as hard as it is to think about it so soon after, their kids are very upset and they know that adopting another sheltie would make all their lives more enjoyable, they are going to wait until Dennis is recovered though and are planning on adopting an adult not a puppy. Hope to post pics soon of Dennis and his new companion.

Hugs and Prayers. I'm glad that Dennis is going to make a full recovery. I'm sure that Biscuit is watching over him.

So glad the one dog is doing so well. Wish my breeder was closer to the family - she has a number of puppies and grown dogs available right now, but she lives on Lake Erie.
