Greetings from northwest Florida!

Little Lilly

Forums Regular
Hello, I'm Kris! I've just joined and hope to be really active in forum discussion. I've been training dogs for 12 years or so now. I've competed in agility, conformation and obedience over the years. I've owned Aussies and border over the years with my family but now I'm in my own place with my incredibly supportive boyfriend and our 11 month old son. I've acquired my next dog and that dog is a little black tri sheltie by the name of Lilly. She is almost 15 months old and I'm so excited to have her in my life. I look forward to agility and tracking with this little girl, but she will also eventually be my demo dog when I teach classes and get to go with me to work. We live in northwest Florida and it is HOT here!

Welcome to the forum!

I have been doing agility for a couple years now, and know a lot of people from Northern FL. I've been down for a Jacksonville agility show as well--very nice facility!

Would love to see pictures of Lilly!

Welcome :smile2:
we do love pix

Northwest Florida- panhandle area?
we are in south Alabama- maybe an hour from Pensacola......

Yep, I'm in the panhandle, near Pensacola. :) I haven't figured out how to post pics yet, but I have two links to images in my photobucket. They were taken Tuesday at work after I bathed her. I just got her on Saturday and she is already Queen of the Couch.

she is supercute- your pix posted fine (if you want them in the post, you have to be a premium member to do that).

My little Dixie was Queen of the couch the night that I got her home- she was 10 months then:

What a cutie!

Thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

Welcome to the forum. We have quite a few Florida members now. We're really going to have to think about a get-together down here!

Cute, cute pup!!!

I currently have two. Meggie, a little girl I purchased from a breeder in Crystal River and Cooper, a rescue from Mid-Florida Sheltie Rescue. Cooper is blind in one eye and partially blind in the other and also hearing impaired. I'm currently waiting for my second rescue, to be known as Dollie, from Second Chance Rescue in St. Louis.

We love pictures, so keep them coming! Enjoy your new little one!

Hi, Kris, and welcome to the forums. With your expertise, I hope you'll have a lot of helpful posts!

Your Lily is beautiful! She looks tiny - I have a very soft spot for the tiny guys, since my first Sheltie weighed a whopping 12 pounds and was barely 13 inches tall.

My Bela came from Sheltie Rescue a little over a month ago. She is so sound reactive that I'm giving her some time to settle in before we get too deeply into training.

I taught beginner and intermediate obedience classes for several years and enjoyed the heck out of it.

Good luck with Lily, and welcome!
