Hello - Just joined up today. Hoping to add a Sheltie to our family in spring, 2016. Looking forward to getting back into dog ownership. My last dog was a brilliant Sheltie but that was years ago. This search has been driven by my 9 year old son (although I'm excited too).

What breeder are you looking at? I live in Ottawa and have had 4 Shelties. All wonderful dogs and wonderful breeders!
 
Cermel & Bradshaw but I have not actually met them yet. We are a few hours away. I have liked their site, fb page, and my email interaction with them.
 
Welcome! This is a wonderful forum! You will gain a lot of insight here as you search (and wait) for a sheltie addition to your family. I have a son about the same age as yours... my son is 10. Shelties make wonderful family pets. Best wishes in your search... it will seem like an eternity, but getting the right sheltie for your family will be worth the wait!

Welcome, we are also from Ontario and brought home our precious little tri coloured puppy 10 days ago, she is now 9 weeks old. And apart from chewing anything and everything she is the most perfect little puppy anyone could ever ask for.

it is SO true, I need to get my sheltie puppy fix and love to see the pictures of the wee ones...but I also enjoy the ones posted that are grown...can you have too many sheltie photos???? nada, not possible!!!
