Gypsy having another skin outbreak.

Well for a little more than a week I have noticed Gypsy's energy level is much better at the park. it has been wonderful to see her running around a bit and even throwing in some zoomies. :biggrin2: She has been off all allergy meds for about 2 weeks. I stopped them because her skin had been clear for about 1 week or so and it is getting colder now so I thought things would settle. I also did not want to put any unnecessary strain on her Kidney's. Well Monday night Gypsy was enjoying a glorious massage and belly rub and there they were 2 new pustules on her inner thighs. :cry: I was devastated. I have been keeping her covered and wiping her completely down when we come in because maintenance went through all the premises with a weed wacker again but it just didn't help. I really feel awful for stopping her meds but her little body needed a break. She is back on the ditrim and today will start back on Atopica. She also goes for her Ultrasound today so I will post her results on here when I get them. I just received my lease renewel and may have to look into moving to a mulch free environment. :rolleyes2:
 
I'm sorry Gypsy is having another allergy outbreak. Are you sure the mulch is causing her allergies?

I hope you finally get a diagnosis for her illness and it is something that is easily treatable.
 
So sorry to hear that Gypsy has had another allergy outbreak. Sending thoughts and prayers your way, that the outbreak is under control soon and that you have a diagnosis for her illness. Good luck at the ultrasound!
 
Sorry to hear about Gypsy's latest outbreak. Hopefully her medicine will clear it up.

I'm very sorry to hear that Gypsy is having another outbreak, Dawn. I hope the ultrasound gives you some answers today, and the meds help clear her up quickly. It has to get cold soon, and maybe all these allergens will go away at least for the winter! Sending you prayers and good thoughts...
 
Poor Gypsy. I'm so sorry to hear her problems have reoccured again. Hope she soon feels better and you get some results today.
 
Well I know the aweful day Gypsy had today,and I am so sorry she had to go thru such a stressful day,an on top of all the the occuring allergy.I sure hope things settle soon for you awn & your babes.

Well I dropped Gypsy off for her Ultrasound this morning at 9:00 and called at 2:30 to see if she was done and the girl at the vet's told me the Dr. who comes to do the Ultrasound's had just canceled 15 minutes before and they were about to call me to pick her up. I was so angry that this Dr. waited so long to cancel and didn't care about Gypsy sitting there stressed all day especially since stress makes the allergy outbreaks worse. My vet was also furious he was so inconsiderate. I do know next time we schedule he can call me when he gets there and than I'll take Gypsy over I am not putting her through that again.
