Harbouring Angels Love

I had to say good-bye on Mon, 6/25, to my sweet, sweet boy Harbour. One month and three days shy of his 13th birthday. He was diagnose a couple of months ago with a cancerous tumor in his upper sinus cavity and based on symptoms we figured it had been there since at least June 2011. Over the weekend his hind legs kept giving out, which I was thinking was because of the arthritis, but then he also lost control of his bladder. I took him to the vet yesterday, and ended up letting him go. I knew he was suffering and was ready to go, but it doesn't make it any easier. I have a big hole in my heart right now and my home is much to quiet, I don't know what to do. I miss my boy so much. Forever in my heart, I'll love him forever.

Dear St. Francis,
Please welcome Harbour into the fold at Rainbow Bridge. Let him know that his Mom misses him so much and will always love him. Grant her courage and strength to weather this sad time. When she is ready, ask The Boss to send her a Sheltie companion to be Harbour's messenger on earth.
In His name we ask,
Amen

In my experience, letting my shelties go has been the hardest thing I have ever done, yet I know it was for the best, because they were suffering, and as you said, 'ready to go'. Harbour will one day meet you at the Rainbow Bridge, and your reunion will be joyous. Peace...:hugs

So sorry to hear of your loss. Your act of Love has granted Harbour safe harbour at the bridge. He waits for you with restored health and a renewed spirit.

I'm so, so sorry for your loss. I feel your pain, as I lost my 13 year old in the fall...It is never easy, nor fun. Knowing you gave him the best life you could, full of love, is the best gift anyone could have or wish for. I know words do not ease your pain or sorrow, but we're all here for you...Hugs to you!!!

I have a big hole in my heart right now and my home is much to quiet, I don't know what to do. I miss my boy so much. Forever in my heart, I'll love him forever.

My condolences on your loss. I know what you mean. It's hard beyond words, and silence is painful.

When you are up to it, try writing a Memories Journal, to permanently document the good times, and all of your boy's cute and touching little behaviors.

Thank you

Thank you all for your kind words, thoughts and prayers. It has been a hard week without my boy. Lots of tears.
