Has Anyone Tried By Nature holistic kibble?

I'm thinking of trying it. On the dog food analysis web site its a 4 star food, which means it isn't considered to be one of the best, but its one that is recommended. It contains no corn, wheat or soy and is something that I can afford so I'm going to give it a try in a month or so.

I hate to take Sadie off of a food that she likes so much but I hate the ingredients, even if it IS a vet food. On the dog food analysis web site it only has a two star rating.

If her digestive problems return I'll go back to the vet food and leave her on it, but I'll be REALLY surprised if it happens.

Do consider the Horizen Legacy, Orijen, or Acana products. They are all well reviewed! And made in Canada! (ok, I won't do the Tetley tea commercial again!)

All grain-free and high in protein. If the high protein content scares you, Acana is about 10% less, but made by Orijen as well. I know Sadie is sensitive, but if you do a very slow transition, she might be fine.

My boys are on Horizon and doing well. But I'm so extra cautious, I transition over a 3-4 week period. Even Bacca who was sick and off his food. I think Chris has hers on Orijen and last I heard, they were doing well too.

I've looked into them before and we can't afford them, which is another reason why I'm taking her off of the vet food. My husband is losing his job.

I'm so sorry. I forgot where you lived! You guys are really having a tough time of it!

Nothing wrong with 4 star! Hey, I used to be one of those who said our parent's pups were raised on Dog Chow...good enough for them!

All to say, it can't hurt to try it out. You can always supplement with carrots and green beans!

Anytime I see a Class Action filed against a company and the products the company produces I would not advise feeding their products to your pets. The pet owners have filed a Class Action against the company for killing their pets.

Natural Flavor. I always like the way pet food companies hide the use of manure in the ingredients. Natural flavor is made from the manure of the animal the pet food company wants the pet food to taste like. If natural flavor were an actual part of the ingredients then natural flavor would not have to be listed as a seperate ingredient.

Garlic - known to be toxic to pets.

Oats- cheap filler.

Potassium Chloride - used as the third of a three drug combination in judicial execution through lethal injection and used for making fertilizer.

Salt does not need to be added to a pet's diet.

Sodium selenite is mainly used in the manufacture of colorless glass - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Pet food producers are using ingredients unfit for human consumption which are killing our pets. The ingredients in pet food must be changed!

These companies need to be held accountable for the injuries to our pets and our best friends early deaths!

Did you decide to go with the by Nature?? I didn't see this post before I went shopping. We don't have a lot of options here so I just went to petsmart. I felt so bad that I was feeding 1 star food (Beneful, they wouldn't eat) and was switching to a 2 star food (Nutrish, was making them sick). Figured a 4 star food would be much better. Now I'm afraid I went with the wrong food. We can't afford some of the higher brand stuff either, my husband just started a new job after being unemployed for a month and a half.
