Hi Everyone, it’s Diane and Mindy. We are alive and well but we’ve had quite a year. I had open heart surgery back in December and was in the hospital for two weeks. Mindy went to the pet sitter for 7 weeks. I’m back on my feet and doing well. In the meantime, my husband was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer and just had half a lung removed. Crazy! In spite of it all, Mindy is happy and healthy. We’ve missed all the sheltie stories.
 
Oh my gosh - what a shock to hear you've had such a health scare, and now your husband as well. I'm glad you are much better and I really hope your husband will be as well. Hope Mindy has helped provide some love and comfort for you. Our Shelties are good at that. Welcome back to the forums, it's been a bit quiet so having folks return to it is nice.
 
It's good to see you back, Diane, and I'm sorry to hear about all your health issues! I hope you continue to do well and your husband improves too. Mindy looks gorgeous and I'm sure she's a great comfort to you both. Shelties do that well! I'll say a prayer for all of you and please keep us posted on how you're doing. :hugs
 
Thanks, everyone! Thankfully, they do think they got all my husband’s cancer. Time will tell. Mindy was a huge part of my recovery from surgery. Once she was back home, I had no choice but to walk her! Glad to see you’re all still here and the shelties are all having fun!
