heartbreaking stories at CISR

Heartbreaking..They do such good work there. They truely are sheltie angels. The first time i saw their site I came across their debarking page, when I saw the pictures of what people had done to their dogs because of excessive barking I was sick to my stomach and horrified at how cruel people could be to theses gorgeous animals.

what angers me is that AC people do seems to know the kennel where young mommy came from.... can't they just shut it down? how much more evidence does one need?

Not sure about over there, but over here we had our first case of a breeder being fined (then jailed coz he couldn't pay the 30k fine. It is unclear if his farm license also got revoked). And I believe it took the authorities being present at the farm witnessing dogs trampling to death a litter of newly born puppies to secure a conviction. Sigh.

Natalie at CISR is awesome. She helped us find Izzie who was missing for 11 days in the dead of the winter. I have no doubt that she will find very good homes for these dogs that have experienced some horrific things.

Good grief - I shudder to think how an owner could break his 16 week old puppy's hind leg... it beggers belief. And the frostbitten feet on the mother dog - just too horrid for words. I just hope karma catches up with these people.

Glad to hear they landed at the Sheltie rescue, they are in good hands now, thank God.

Sharon
