Height

I was told Shelties reach roughly their adult height by 9 months. But both mine had a growth spurt at 12 months - so that Tully got to 13 inches and Deska passed 16inches. I was disappointed when Deska grew too tall as he was just within height before that - but the vet said a last growth spurt was not unusual.

I've found in both my lines (although they are generally similar) that what their height is at 6 months add an inch and that is their full grown height...its generally pretty accurate from what I've observed...although I don't have a big enough group to hold this theory down....Id be interested in other peoples info on it...I measure quite often so I have weights on heights on all from the time I get them till they are a year and then every year afterwards I measure just to make sure..
