I am the proud owner of two shelties - both rescues. Keegan is our blue merle, and he just turned 5 in November. We've had him since he was 1, and he is the most gentile and sweetest thing ever. He was my first sheltie and I absolutely fell in love with the breed... then we got Murphy and I was introduced to "the other sheltie" personality :wink2: We rescued Murphy from a shelter when he was 5, and we've had him for 2 years now. Murphy is a chatter box, and he loves nothing more than to bark and run around in circles.

This site has been really helpful for me to get these two boys to get along; Murphy is still a challenge sometimes but we've noticed a huge change in him since he's been with us.

Many of you have no clue how much you've helped me with these two fellas! So I wanted to finally join to say thanks to everyone - and now when you all help I can thank you personally :smile2:

We have a rescue, Vinca. Although she has always been our "challenge" we still love her.

First of all I want to thank you for doing rescue. You are making a huge difference in the life of your two pups. It is also obvious that you are patient and understand that it can take time for a rescue to become free of the negative things they have experienced and accept the positive things that are new to them. Welcome to the forums and to all of the information and differences of opinion that are expressed here. Shelties are simply the best.

I have two dogs that are total opposites too...one is lazy and could sleep all day, and the other is absolutely crazy!
