Hi all! Just stumbled onto this forum and have been enjoying reading through the posts.

I've got two shelties, my second and third respectively (my first boy, Gerard, sadly passed away a few years ago).

The older one, Alfie, is almost three. He's a bit of a neurotic one, prone to anxiety and obsessed with barking at possums, but he's also clever, playful and affectionate and I love him dearly.
Here he is being obscenely adorable.

Ruby is five months old and an absolute darling, except when she's being a little terror. She's bright and friendly and loves a cuddle. Unfortunately for Alfie, she also loves jumping on top of her brother and biting his tail!
You can see her here, also being ridiculously cute.

They get along pretty well together, though. Alfie loves to race more than anything, and Ruby loves to chase him, so that works out pretty well. And it's been great for him, having another dog around to play with.

Hi and welcome

What state are you in? I am in Canberra and previously lived in Sydney and Melbourne. Mind you I am seriously thinking of moving to warmer climes - the cold is driving me nuts, although my two shelties are looking gorgeous in their winter coats.
 
Good looking pups I love the 50/50 nose marking on Ruby. Sounds like it fits her personality also.... light side Ruby.... dark side Ruby :lol:

I hope that you find this to be a great resource for knowledge on Shelties. They are an amazing breed, and your two are absolutely beautiful.

Your dogs are too adorable... Don't you all sometimes feel bad for people who don't have Shelties, really? I do all the time!

Caro - I'm in Melbourne. Probably not much warmer than Canberra right now (not that the dogs mind!).

SheepOfBlue - Ha! I'd never thought of that, but you're right. One minute she's an angel, the next she's making off with Alfie's food. xD

A further humiliation for Alfie - whenever I walk the two of them together, people in the street always ask if he's Ruby's mother!
 
Hi, Jess -- it's great to have you on the forum. I have four Shelties, and I totally get the "obscenely adorable" thing. What a face on that Alfie!!
