Hi all. First of all let me say this site is the greatest. I've just rescued "Dylan" 2 mths ago. He's 3 yrs old and just the best dog I've ever had. I'm new to the Sheltie world and have so many questions, I'm hoping this site will give me the answers I need. It's hard when you don't know what kind of life the dog had prior to you getting them. He seems very content but is having skin/itching problems. I just know this forum will help me figure this all out.

Welcome! Glad to see another newbie as I'm pretty new to the site as well. It is a terrific place with lots of good information, funny stories and great pictures of our little furry friends. Please post pics of Dylan, we love to see pictures!

Still learning how to use this site. Don't really know how to upload at the moment but will just as soon as I figure out how! LOL

Thanks so much. I'm finding this site so useful. Dylan will be much happier now that I have so much help.

Dylan is beautiful. Welcome to the forum! I agree with you, this site is the greatest. Curiosity is making me ask, but how come he's shaved? He looks adorable though. :smile2:

welcome :smile2:
your album has some great pix. sorry to hear that Dylan had to be shaved though his lion cut is pretty cute. skin/itching problems means we'll ask what kind of food does Dylan eat- could be food allergies

Welcome! Dylan is such a cutie! I agree with calliesmom on the itching. I got a itchy sheltie...he has alto of allergies...including wheat and corn. I feed him a grain free diet...Taste of The Wild. It really helped. Now if I can just get rid of the grass...lol. I got my buddy from a rescue also here in Michigan. It was by South Lyon. I have to say rescue dogs are the most greatful dogs around. Mine was timid and very scared but 1 year later he is the king of his castle! He is always by my side! Good luck with your new furkid! :biggrin2:

Welcome to the group! I think you will really enjoy it here. Dylan is a little cutie! Please do not hesistate to ask any questions. There are a lot of great people on here with great advice!
