Hello from Ohio

I've been watching this for a while and decided to post a "hello". I had a sheltie (Sara) from 1994 until 2006 when she passed away. I finally had to get another one because it's the best breed in the world.

I was looking for a white factored, blue merle and kept watching for about 8 months. I finally found the one. The breeder had named her *Sarah*, she was a CHW Blue Merle. The picture that was posted made me have to go take a look. She was born on May 11, 2011 and I found her on July 9th. I went to see her on July 10, 2011 and brought her home and her name is now Mackenzie (or Kenzie for short).

She has been everything I remember. Just a dream puppy. We are finally starting obedience class on Monday :smile2:

There's some pictures of her in this album:

Welcome to the forum, what a lovely family you have. I have a real soft spot for pointers too and Lacey is gorgeous!!:biggrin2:

Thank you for the welcomes.

Brisa the GSP was the "import"..lol. Drove to Des Moines, IA by myself and picked her up. Sara the sheltie was her buddy until 2006. Then she was an only child.

Allicin the Lab was an early wedding gift to my hubby and came from Canton, OH in April of 2008. His parents had a chocolate and black so he wanted a yellow lab.

Lacey the paint horse, became a part of our family (very interesting story on her) in October of 2009. (I had her from October 1990 at the age of 4 months old until September of 2000 when I had to part with her because of a divorce). I found her 9 years later and 3 hours from where we first parted, by chance driving home from spending a weekend at the lake cottage, and bought her back 6 weeks after finding her. She turned 21 August of this year.

And our latest addition, Mackenzie the Sheltie that is such a pleasure. She has been absolutely amazing. She will be a *tall* girl but she has been a dream. We've had one mistake in our crate and that has been it. They are so intelligent.

I can't wait to start the obedience sessions with Mackenzie on Monday. I made some jumps and a pause box just for fun stuff at home and bought her a tunnel. She should have a fun backyard that will keep her very entertained between her two big sisters (Allicin and Brisa) and all her new toys.

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for sharing your pictures right away.

My husband and I just moved to Ohio in June.
