My name is Jaclyn, and I currently am in the process of buying a Sheltie pup. We should get her by the end of the summer, and her name will be Lilly.

My mother got me a sheltie when I was 10, and she was the greatest thing. She was the runt of the litter, and no one wanted her :-( so we took her and she was fantastic, and not much smaller then the normal shetland sheepdog.

There is a female runt in the litter, and so of course I was drawn to her. The fiance and I still need to do some more talking but if all goes well, hopefully she will be ours. I miss having my little sheltie so much, and after before, I couldn't imagine having any other dog. Nice to see there is a place for sheltie lovers!

Welcome to the group! I think you will like it here as much as the rest of us who are now officially addicts! I bet you are so excited about getting your new pup! We can't wait to see pictures of her!!

My Meggie was the runt of the litter too. But she grew up to be 14 inches and is the love of her mommy's life!! Her breeder called her "little bit." I'm partial to little bits, so I bet your little puppy will melt my heart!

Is the puppy a merle as well? I keep saying if I get a second sheltie I want a merle. They are so beautiful!

No, since I already had a merle, this time I figured I would do sable :-). At some point I'd love a tri color as well. I love all of them and it's so hard for me to chose my favorite, I'd like to just have one of every one :-). I am a sucker for the "little bits" too :-). Thanks, I love her, and miss her greatly.
