I am super excited to finally find a place where my sheltie-obsession is in good company. I have faithfully watched this site for a couple of years now. It makes my day seeing the adorable too-cute-for-words photos every morning.

I am currently owned by my second sheltie Daisy Mae - a beautiful sable who is on the small size at 15lbs. My first sheltie - Teddy Bear - was a little plump, walking coffee table at 36lbs but he was my boy! But if I could have my way I would definitely have at least one or two more. Even better, I could be the crazy lady on the block w/ a sheltie six-pack! Oh to dream....:winkgrin:
But since my sister is the one who watches my fur kid when I leave town, I doubt she'd appreciate that much. She's a dalmation lover. Anyone who's ever had a daly knows they're not super smart but a big dog who thinks they're a teacup poodle on your lap. I love any dog who's a snuggler but Shelties is where my heart is. :smile2:
 
Welcome! I know you'll enjoy this site; I find the forum the best thing ever to start my day. Almost makes it worthwhile going to work! :lol: Post a picture of your fur baby!
 
A warm welcome from Maryland!

We have not one, not two, but three Shelties. I've got lots of photos posted under the Community link (at the top of the page) under pictures and albums. My album is called "Our sheltie trio". Check it out when you get a chance, but I warn you it's addicting. We're on our second trio of Shelties. Lost of our first one year apart. Very heart breaking, indeed.

i have 4 girls, Suzi who is a tri factored sable, Kayla who is a blue merle, Tessa who is a sheltie/mini aussie mix, call her a 'shaussie', blue merle, and Sugar who is a american eskimo, who thinks she is a funny looking white sheltie
 
Hello and welcome! My late grandmother's sister used to live in South Weymouth Mass. I visited there back in 1976 and was duly impressed with the south Boston suburbs!

Shelties are wonderful fur children aren't they?! As we like to say at our house "Sheltie's Rule!"

Hope you can post a picture of your little lady soon!

Welcome to the forums, it is always nice to have more Sheltie Lovers join us. I can't wait to see pics of your girl.

I lost my Sable Boy Chandler April 11, 2011 and my Gypsy on April 13 just a few weeks ago, there is nothing like the love of a Sheltie.

I've been trying to get more familar with this site and the forums. It looks like being a premium member is where it's at - ability to post pictures, etc. So I will definitely be doing that shortly.:wink2:

One thing I forgot to mention about my girl Daisy - in case anyone has gone through this before, I'd love to hear feedback: When she was less than a year old (she is now 6) she was diagnosed with bladder stones. She had to have surgery to remove them and has been on a special science diet ever since. Not even treats! because I'm too afraid to mess around w/ her chemical balance. (I give her a few kibbles for rewards though) She's done really well ever since - knock on wood - but I always worry about it happening again.
