Hi! It's so nice to find a Sheltie group. I belong to a couple of Sheltie groups (Yahoo and MSN), but I was searching for a forum like this one. To introduce myself, I'm Michelle. I share my home with my husband, daughter, a house full of Shelties, and 1 Miniature Schnauzer. :wink2: Our Shelties are: Dreamer- 2yr old Sable Merle that is a 2nd year certified therapy dog and has his CGC, Presley - 2yr old Sable, Rain - 2yr old Tri-Color that completed an obedience class and I hope to introduce to agility, therapy, and herding. To explain the "house full of Shelties", we had a major accident to occur, and have a litter of 9 Sheltie puppies that are almost 7wks old. To make a long story short, Rain went into a silent heat a month early. We had been dealing with our daughter's health for a few months (hospitalization, seizures, etc) and Dreamer got Rain 2 days after Christmas and the day before our daughter had to have tubes put in her ears. It was a rough time, so I hope that I won't get bashed for this before you all get to know me. I have been playing catch-up, though. Dreamer tested OFA- Excellent on his hips, OFA Normal - Knees, OFA Normal -Thyroid. We are holding on to 3 of the puppies. Two for hopeful showing and 1 due to a mismark on his ear, which I just want to be sure that it's only a mismark and not a sign of any other problems. The 3 that we're holding on to are all Sable Merles. Their names are Mazi, Shady, and Zion. I have done 10+yrs of dog rescue, so I am being extremely picky on where these puppies will be going to live. I really look forward to getting to know you all. I love talking Shelties and I've been looking for a friendly forum that was Sheltie oriented. I hope this is it! :biggrin2: Well, take care and time to start reading through the other sections.

Welcome Michelle and Family !

You will be blessed for this. Looking forward to seeing you on the forums, Michelle. If you wish to post the pups on the forum you will have to send message to the Forum administrator and she will tell you what you can and can't do.

Hi, Elaine. I wasn't going to advertise the pups on here, if that's what you meant. :smile2: I only mentioned them, because some are staying with us, and from my experience of forums or groups, most people end up asking how you ended up getting the dogs you have. Sorry, if I shouldn't have done that! Thank you for the kind words on rescue. We just placed our last foster, which was a 7yr old Pomeranian that had been dumped into a shelter by the only family he'd known since he was a puppy, because they were moving and couldn't take him. Common excuse.

Hey, Tim. Nice to see you on here!

Anyway, thank you for the welcome and I look forward to being here!

Welcome

Hello from East Tennessee. I'm sure you little ones are adorable and a HUGE handfull. Enjoy them while they are little fluffy bundles of mischief because soon they will be big furry bundles of mischief :smile2:

Thank you all for the nice welcome! :smile2: It's nice to see fellow TN Sheltie lovers. I have friends that are Sheltie people, but they aren't local. We're in northeast TN, as well, but close to the VA and NC borders.

Auber's Mom, they already are!! Little ankle biters and pant pullers. I actually lived in Knoxville for a little over 3yrs. I miss it, but my family is here, so I moved back up here in 2001.

How nice to have you, Michelle. With that crew, we'll be counting on you for hysterical stories. Yo, Dreamer -- what a stud

I have a chinchilla named Rain!
