I am new to your group, but, not new to shelties. We have 3 sheltie children, Sam (9 years old), Maddie (6 years old) and Cassie (3.5 years old). We also have a cat, hamster and bunny. In addition, we are friends with a feral cat, whom we feed and provide shelter to. I will be setting a "Have A Heart Trap" and taking the kitty to the vet to be checked out, spayed/neutered and shots.

Hi, and welcome! Please be ever so careful with the feral cat, though! My sister-in-law in Philadelphia was doing just that and got bitten. She had to get rabies shots. This was during one of the severe snowstorms earlier this winter, and the poor kitty did not survive. She was heartbroken that she couldn't save the cat, but yet she continues to soldier on to help those she can...
