I am a new (for about a month now) Sheltie owner. I have always wanted a Sheltie--my dream has come true. I got her from a breeder in East Tennessee, she was meant for show, but "toes out" in the back. She is a beautiful tri-color who is 6 months old now. I used to volunteer at the local shelter and I always had rescues (16 to be precise, but not all at the same time), and every time I got ready to get a Sheltie, an irresistible rescue came to my attention. After the initial shyness that lasted about 2 weeks, she is fully integrated into our family. I LOVE to watch her herd our older lab, the lab is not crazy about it, but I like to see her behave the way she was bred to behave. AM happy to be a membet of the community.
 
Welcome we were just there playing flyball and my big guy (Sca) came from Mt Juliet so he is almost a Nashville hound. My other guys (Spitfire) brother is up there also (Lerwick)

Oh and we love pictures.
 
Pictures--I hope

Here are some pictures of our sweet Pippa. These were taken before her ears popped up, now she looks like a bat.

This is where she decided that she didn't want just one toy in her crate--she wanted ALL of them.

I think these might work. Here are some with her Lab companion that she herds when the lab tries to poop in the back yard.
First attempt at leash training.
As a puppy--my son took this one, she likes to pose for him.
After she finally conquered jumping up on the sofa, striking a regal pose.

Welcome and I must say she is the firs tricolor that I have seen that has as little brown as Sca does :cool: Get ready for a lot of compliments as she grows. Did she by chance come from Mt Juliet?

She came from "Heaven" in East Tennessee. Am I allowed to say her breeder's name? What I love best about her appearance is her coat is so luxuriously soft and thick at the same time. I love to bury my face in her coat. Sounds weird, but I'm sure there are many in this forum that feel the same way about their babies!

They prefer not I believe. No relation to Sca, she does have a super fluffy coat though. Sca is one of a very few tri's I have seen whose only brown is on his face :smile2:
