Hi yall,

Not a sheltie owner yet, as the pups were just whelped this past Friday but I do have dibs on a beautiful sable girl that will hopefully be my new best friend sometime in mid December! It has been soooo informative to read these forums and see the opinions of knowledgeable owners on what I need to do/have for my puppy when she arrives at her forever home! Please be patient with me and my questions :)

Welcome to the forum!
Looking forward to pictures and stories!
One suggestion: please contact your breeder to see if she has had the puppies rear dew claws removed (if they have them, some don't). In a few days it will be too late for the simple procedure and having it done later in the dog's life is MUCH more complicated!

Welcome to sheltie forums & sheltie nation! Waiting for your new pup is so exciting, and we are happy for you.

So while you are in wait mode...sit back and enjoy the informative threads.I know that is what I did while waiting for our first puppy.

A must read...under favorites is the thread on "dingleberries"! I laughed till I cried.:biggrin2:

Welcome to the forum!

We are from SC, and may be looking at moving to NC in the future.

In fact, one of our dogs is from a NC breeder.

And don't worry about your questions, that's what the forum is for!:biggrin2:

Welcome to the forum, you just know we can't wait for puppy pics to coo over!
As far as questions go, ask away, nobody too shy to answer and be prepared to receive lots of varying onions, lol

Welcome -- the anticipation has to be killing you! In preparation, may I recommend The Art of Raising a Puppy by the Monks of New Skete?
