Hi there

We joined a couple of weeks or so ago, and are new to the whole forum thingee. My name is Jacquie, married to Adrian with 3 sons.

We live in the bottom part of the South Island of New Zealand, in a city called Dunedin. We have 2 Shelties. Broski, a male 7 year old that I got about 6 weeks ago, he lived with a loving family, but they had Ridgebacks and Staffies, and got himself into a few scraps with them, so they did the best thing they could and found us. They day before I got Broski I received a phone called from a Breeder that our puppy that we have been waiting for has arrived!! So last weekend, we went to pick up our 'baby girl' Emmy. She is delightful and both Broski and Emmy have become fast friends!!

I used to work in a vet clinic when I got my first sheltie Giselle, we got her before I had children and sadly she died last November at 15 1/2 yrs.

Not sure how to put in a photo or a link to facebook photos.

Have enjoyed the bits and pieces I have read so far, and trust that we will all get to know each other very quickly

Hugs to you all
Jacquie

Hi from the other side of the Tasman. Is it getting cold in Dunedin - it has been bitter here in Canberra. Mind you, my Shelties love this cold, windy weather - any excuse to stand on a rock with the wind blowing their fur.

Great to hear you rescued Broski - I am surprised the previous owners managed to keep him for 7 years. Staffies have a really different play style and can be really rough for a sheltie. He must be so relieved to get some peace. And a puppy in winter - fun toilet training in the freezing.

To link pictures, use the button with the little world globe on the button bar of the message box (next to the right indent button). It will bring up a box you can enter the http address to your photo. Otherwise you can become a premium member and keep a photo album.

Welccome Jacquie

Thanks for the great intoduction to your human family as well as to your furkids !:wink2: Glad to have you join us . I'm certain you will like it here and looking forward to seeing pictures of your Shelties. Thanks for rescuing Broski !:biggrin2: Welcome Emmy, your going to have a great forever home.

Welcome!

Welcome to the group! I'm pretty new myself, but know already that you're going to love it here. I do!

Hopefully you'll be able to post some pictures soon. I'm a sucker for a sheltie picture of any kind!

Meggie says "Hi" to Broski and Emmy. Thanks for recuing him. He's probably so happy to be with you guys. I remember when I got my little girl, it was house training in the heat of the summer in Florida. I got about a million mosquito bites. I doubt winter will be much more fun. Good luck, if she's like the shelties we've had, NO PROBLEM!

Take care.

Welcome!

You can also open the forum where you keep your photos and just copy and paste the url directly into the message.
