Hi there, I found on petfinder.com that there are quite a few homeless shelties at the sheltie resuce in Utah, i am in the process of adopting one puppy from the salt lake city shelter who is a refugee from a puppy mill, i would have adopt more if i have the means and the time, but one would be enough for a single mom. could some of you ladies and gents help some of these other doggies?

Wish I could help more. Many Shelties in my area don't last too long in rescue. I have four people interested in my foster. Just waiting for our director to do the home inspection.

I wish I could take in more as well. I already have two and with the economy being what it is, I'm a little hesitant to take in anymore at this time. As my husband says, I would be the crazy sheltie lady if he would let me!!

i know what you mean, its tough just having have to feed ourselves in this market!! I used to cook chicken breasts and yam for my old sheltie, he liked it. i finished off his chicken breasts after he passed away and i was wondering how on earth can he eat something so plain! but then I bet it tasted way better than dog chow :smile2:
