How could so much go wrong. Sadie's story.

What a sad sad story. It looks like it will have the happiest ending possible, though. She looks like such a sweet girl.

I wonder if she was a dog that got loose, wasn't found and then was hit by a car. I want to believe that someone that would put the work into her to make her into the sweet, kind dog that she is wouldn't let her go without medical attention even if that meant euthanasia if it was beyond their financial means. I hope she gets a great home and has the best that life can offer her.

Huggs and kisses to this special girl. We will pray she finds her forever home.

What a pretty girl to have such a sad story :( I hope she has a happy ending soon too! She deserves a warm house with a loving family

Beautiful girl, and the sweet temperament is not surprising, even for a stray.

Bela, my puppy mill mama, arrived in rescue with one of the sweetest, gentlest temperaments and manners her foster mom had ever seen in a rescue. She wasn't taught anything in her early years, yet understands house training, and walking on a leash. She learned "wait" reliably within about 6 hours. She never snatches food, but takes it from your handle very gently, as if she's trying not to hurt you. She delicately sniffs at you, and tries not to bump against you while she's playing.

Yet, if she wants to, she CAN get tough. I've seen her warn Gracie countless times when Gracie is a little too wild. But she always does so within normal and appropriate doggie manners.

Shelties, as a general rule, are just intuitively polite, I think.

That aside, I really do wish she were closer to me - I'd take her in a split second.

Jaynie, I have two puppy mill rescues and one owner surrender, and my one girl, Belle, (puppy mill dog) has been a handful over the past year. I have some questions for you, I’ll send a PM tomorrow to see about your little Bela, and how you ‘worked’ things out.

Also hoping for the best for Sadie… she’s in good hands but needs a lot of recovery time. Noah Project will see to her needs and I look forward to seeing her healthy and ready for her new beginning in life, and lots of love.

Oh dear Sadie, I know you have been through the worst life has to offer but you are safe now and I believe with all my heart that you will find that special someone who will treasure your loving soul.

Sending up a little prayer that it will be sooner rather than later.
