How Spoiled is Your Sheltie?

My doy, gavin, has no idea how good he has it!

He gets to go the dog park all the time
we go running together fairly frequently
he has 2 different dog backpacks for our backpacking trips (plus different leashes and harnesses)
I just bought him a cool bed III (he is still trying to figure it out)
he has a dozen + plushies (he takes very good care of his toys, so one new one every 3 months builds up his collection)
He gets bully sticks all the time
He has 4 dog beds (he shares 2 with the cat)
He has his own portable crate that is his favorite place
He has an automated kong dispenser
and his very own kitty to play with.

oh, and we go to a friend's horse ranch every month or two so he can roam free and play on the farm

So how spoiled are your babies?

Not quite that spoiled. The closest dog park is 35-40 min away and has only been open less than a year. we do have a close substitute- the place that they get boarded we get to go there when I'm not on a trip and play with the live-there dogs and whoever happens to be boarding at the time.
we walk every day that I'm home if it's not a torrential downpour. Callie isn't into running so much- neither am I so not a problem. There's about 6 dog beds for 2 dogs and 3 or 4 crates which aren't as comfortable as the floor to her. Happy the mix much prefers the couch. They do have lots of toys and get plenty of treats including the occasional raw buffalo bone- when the pet store has them in stock. they do get to go to the 3 local pet stores pretty often and of course, treats happen there too.:wink2: so they are pretty spoiled too.

My girls have it pretty good! They have a full fenced in backyard about .5 of an acre - a large tree with a well worn path around it from them playing *chase me*. A dog friend in the next yard (a greyhound that they try to outrun up & down the fence line). Several beds, lots & lots of toys, and tons of love (which they return in abundance). We were out of town last weekend (of course they came with us b/c we stay at a choicepoint pet friendly hotel) I noticed that none of the other doggies got 2-3 hours a day of frisbee playing in the field each day!

Let's just say I have a sweatshirt with a Sheltie picture on it that reads: "So What if I'm Spoiled Rotten...." Suffice to say it gets alot of wear :biggrin2:

All 3 of my girls are so spoiled. They each have a rolled black leather collar with name tags, a special christmas collar, matching pink bandanas with their names stitched on them, tons of toys, comfy beds, two human boys to play with and a fenced in yard. The girls are often on the couches with us in the evening even though I said no dogs on the couches(they were brand new last year)! How can you resist the cute faces! :biggrin2:

Layla has her own LaylaGear clothing line on Sheltie Nation's Cafe Press. Now I didn't set it up -- but no one had to twist my arm! :uhoh: Layla and Annie Laurie get to come to school with me on days when they're doing therapy work at Walter Reed or in other DC venues. Layla runs in and out of the Admiral's office like she owns the place. Annie barks when the soldiers fire the cannon outside my window. :eek2:
