How to get started?

Hello,

My Daughter Lily who is 11 is very interested in learning about obedience and would like to get started in Rally. We will get our new puppy in 2 weeks and I was wondering if there are any suggestions on how to get started in this sport? She really hasn't showed an interest in anything like this before but this is about all she talks about so I think we should help her along. We are just pet owners and have no exposure to this at all. Any help would be appreciated.

look for dog clubs in your area that have training classes.
also on the AKC website, you can find when there are shows in your area.
the clubs that put on trials also usually have classes that you can attend.
also 4H clubs sometimes do obedience/rally stuff.....

Contact this trainer if she has no places in her classes she will recommend you someone good. I can not recommend her highly enough!
