I am getting another Sheltie!!!

oh sorry i will get them back on (yeah they are already starting to try to eat solids (fast maturing line))
Pics are back up...generally though it doesnt matter how fast the line matures, breeders here keep their puppies till atleast 8 weeks old.

Rachael mine would still try to nurse of their dam at 7 weeks too...heck I think they were still trying at 10 weeks when she would walk by them...they were little piggies!! :)

lol yeah I will let mine go 8-9 weeks but it just depends on the breeder I guess!

He sure is cute and you have some beautiful shelties. I agree that 7 weeks is to young to come home, they need that extra week or two to learn manners from mom. Love the name too.

Congratulations! He's so cute already...he's in the "hamster" phase! :)

I always think there is something a little "evil-looking" about them at this age! Almost makes you want to not get a Sheltie at all! Something about those squinty little eyes.....:eek2:

I agree that while dogs may be weaned earlier, they do need that extra 1-2 weeks for extra socializing by mom. A week doesn't seem very long, but for a puppy, its a big week.
