I can't believe what I just did

She may do it again!

We have two recliners and KNOW that Shelby is under one or the other. So we check each other to see who Shelby is under before getting up. If I'm the only one home in the recliner, I straddle the foot rest to get up rather than risk knocking Shelby in the head - she usually darts out quickly... don't know who is more at risk:eek2:
She has been trapped, but that hasn't stopped her from getting under there. She does love the den feel it provides.

I have a recliner and try to do a dog count before getting up.
Dixie is probably the only one who could be comfortable underneath though :winkgrin:

Yes had it been Ember I would be sleeping with one eye open.:lol: Ember's favorite spot is on the foot rest proped up against my leg so I always know where she is.

Oh yes, she slept last night in the crook of my left arm with her head on my chest. But tonight she is sticking to the futon so she can keep an eye on me. :smile2:
 
Justicemom I'm glad your little one is ok. I guess they really do love to sleep under recliners because Crouton loooooves it, and while under there she somehow also "happens" to pull my blanket down off me while she's sleeping on it. Sometimes I forget she's under there too, there's been more than once when she hears the hinge squeak while I put the footrest down and she pops out unbeknown to me. I'm definitely going to be more careful.
 
Wow, scary! Glad she's ok. Just take it as a lesson learned and try to laugh about it since she wasn't hurt. It is kinda funny. I can just picture the shocked look on her face. Give her lots of kisses and hugs for her experience. :smile2:
 
Glad she is OK, I know I am going through the same thing right now with Storm,she seem to have taken a liking to crawling under the reclining love seat, I have just gotten into the habit of getting up with the footrest still out and at not moving it out, if I can't see where she's at, although I am afraid I might just forget and get her one day.

Now that it has been a day , I can giggle about the expression on her face. At the time I was too horrified.
