I've been thinking for the past month about a registered name for Shiloh. I cannot think of anything. Can ya'll help? Her breeder named her Truffles, and I loved that name, but I loved Shiloh more lol. So I would really like to have Truffles in there somewhere. Her dad is Sergeant Major Weatherly and mom is Weatherly's Lady Liberty.

Any help, please? :biggrin2:

I included Emma in her registered name - Aberdale's Missy Emma Marie with call name of Emma. In Canada, we can chose the registered name and a call name. I chose to include both. Emma's mom and dad each had a registered name with calls name of Aubrey (the mother) and Sonny (the father). With Noah, the breeder had registered him differently than what I wanted and through the CKC, I was able to get her permission to change his registred name to what I wanted, which included his call name of Noah.

It sounds like a bit of a patriotic theme going on with the parents. Do you want to keep that up?

If so, the Battle of Shiloh was a Union victory. I'm not sure where you got the name Shiloh from, but that's what I thought about. Apparently it also means "place of peace" in Hebrew.

Maybe...

Union Peacetime Truffles

Something with Liberty Bell would be neat. Or Lady Liberty's Caramel Truffle? Eh... I'm trying here.

I love Lady Liberty's Caramel Truffle! Maybe Chocolate Truffle would be better...I don't like caramel () and she's a tri so I think chocolate would be more fitting. GREAT idea!!! Love it!!!!!

Lady Liberty's Toffee Truffle :) Ok, Toffee would be luvin that one, LOL
Lady Liberty's Choco Truffle
But then I LOVE all food themed dog names LOL

What a great name for Shiloh :)

I'm so glad you like it! I put Caramel for the tri. I don't really like caramel either.

Every year, I make Christmas truffles. I didn't intend for them to become tradition, but after the first taste, everyone begs for them annually (and sometimes more often). My very favorite ones are the ones I roll in cocoa.

Lady Liberty's Cocoa Truffle

You could sub cocoa for almond (she has the prettiest eyes...) or cinnamon or whatever fits her best! You could also incorporate the peace theme with something like Lady Liberty's Harmony Truffle.

Shiloh was a sacred place in ancient Palestine. The Ark of Covenant was kept there for a time and it was a place of sanctuary, thats probably why the name is meant to mean 'place of peace'.

Plus I think one of the Pitt-Jolie brood is called Shiloh. I have a friend with a dobe called Shilo - she is Shilo Shining Star.

So you could use words like sacred, guardian, defender - like Weatherly's Sacred Shiloh or Weatherly's Defender Truffles . Or go really silly and have Shilo Truffles Pitt-Jolie!

I saw her and thought sanctuary. That does really mean place of peace.
