I'm a little scared.....

I called the vet today but they couldn't fit him in until tomorrow. I thought about going to emergency, but he's no so bad as that.

This up and down is so frustrating!

Stay tuned!

Been thinking about you and Bacca, and Ellie too, all day Barb. The wait and the not knowing is the most frustrating and frightening thing I think, whenever there's something wrong. I really hope Bacca's malady is something simple and that they find it soon so you can get some answers and a cure! You are in my prayers, and Barkley sends licks to his cousin Bacca!

I have been thinking and praying for you and Bacca. I hope that everything will be fine. I know how hard it is waiting, watching and the rollercoaster of better today, not so much the next. We are all here for you anytime.

So appointment was booked for today. We wake up this morning and Bacca's eye is now absolutely clear, and he's raring to go! I sleep on my stomach, so he jumped up on the bed, put all his weight on his front paws on my back and started nudging my head.

Took the boys outside to pee and they both started to play and chase like they were puppies. Fed them, and Bacca scarfed his food down immediately!

So I call the vet....do we keep the appointment? No point as there would be nothing to see.

Came home from work, and he's bouncing around and ate well too.

If this flares up again (and I'm sure it will), I'm going straight to emergency so they can see it at is peak, even if it costs twice as much. This up and down isn't normal. I know that. :(

Sounds like when your car won't make the strange noise when you're at the repair shop!

Maybe Bacca heard the word "vet" and decided he better get better!

I agree, if it happens again, go directly to the emergency vet, but for now just enjoy his energy!

I hope Bacca is doing better today. It's not good when your furkids aren't well. I pray that it's nothing to serious and that it will be solved quickly.
Hugs

Yes, you nailed it! And of course, the repair shop is happy to take your $60 for just opening up the hood, turning the engine over and seeing everything fine!

That was the decision I was faced with. Today, he was ok again.

I think Bacca's all clear....?!

So we've now gone an entire week with Bacca's:

- lip no longer swollen
- glands no longer hard
- eye no longer goopy
- eating normally, without insisting on sitting next to me

I think he's in the all clear! Even though I still don't know what happened.

I just want to thank everyone again for all the care and support that I received from you during this time. You guys are the best!

I am still going to keep him in my thoughts and prayers, just to be safe :wink2:. But I am happy to hear that he is doing so well.

What a relief, Barb, that's great news! Still sending good thoughts that things stay this way. These furkids can sure give us fits of worry, can't they...not that we'd trade them for anything.

Pats to Bacca! :biggrin2:
