Inner eyelid

Good grief, I can't type today, I just titled that "ommer eyelod".

Anyway, I've noticed something about Cooper. When he's tired, that inner eyelid doesn't open all the way. This only happens when he's tired. None of my other shelties have ever don't that, and so I'm wondering if anyone else's do this?

This made Minnie¨s one eye a lot in the beginning, which did worry me much, now she is 16-17 months and her eye here quite normal now.

I can always tell when Piper is tired or not feeling well, because her inner eyelid will cover part of her eye.

I think it is normal, but others on here may know better than me.

At least Piper is in better shape than Pazia, whose show breeder had her inner eyelid removed. Now she has chronic dry eye, poor thing :rolleyes2:

Enzo's showed a bit sometimes when he was a puppy. I had totally forgotten until I read your post. He has grown out of it.

My childhood Sheltie Jenna did that as a puppy when she was tired. She grew out of it as well. I remember how odd I thought it was. Cleo doesn't have that problem so I guess it just depends on the dog.

We see Olive's from time to time. Sometimes she'll sleep with her normal eyelids open and her third closed and some eye showing- rather creepy. It'll also show if she wakes up suddenly.
