Interceptor

Thank you all for your input. Little Girl is a normal Interceptor and Frontline user. Now without Interceptor, am I understanding that it is safe to use Frontline and the Heartguard? I didn't get to speak to the vet, only the receptionist. She is very nice, but I am sure she is just saying what she has been told and could not answer my questions.

Again, thanks to all you great Moms and Dads of furkids!

Our Mally is on Heartguard and Frontline Plus each month.
I was told it is better to spread the 2 medicines out thru the month.
Mally gets Heartguard the first of the month and Frontline Plus on the 15th of the month. I believe it is not as hard on their systems this way.

I have a 3 month supply of Interceptor left. I kick myself for not buying more at the time.

I was at my vet this weekend for Bailey's yearly check up. He sold his last few pills of Interceptor the day before :gaah. He did have a few Sentinel pills left, so I bought a couple.

I hope they start producing more soon. If not, I'll switch to heartguard or stop using heart worm pills for the winter.

Yes, it is safe to use Heartguard and Frontline (or Frontline Plus) together. My vet recommends Frontline, but its not available in my area and has become too big a pain in the neck to get.

I've started using Trifexis this year and so far I've been happy with the results. No adverse reactions, no flea problem or issues with other parasites and it treats heartworms as well.
