Introducing Mavis

I promised pictures when things settled down a bit, and here they are :biggrin2:

We got home around midnight last night, we ended up staying at her foster's house for about three hours so she would be comfortable riding back with us. She actually opened up a lot and was taking treats right from the get-go. She's really attached herself to me at this point and will come to me for reassurance as she explores the house. She also has no problem jumping up on the bed for snuggle time either. It's all very endearing.

She gets along great with our resident Collie and is really fitting in awesomely. She loves attention and will root her head under my hand if I ignore her too long. We're pretty smitten as you could probably tell  The first picture is of Mavis. The second and third are of our Collie, Violet.

Congratulations on getting Mavis home. It sounds like she is adjusting very well. She is beautiful! I have a blue merle and love them. Thanks for posting the great pics.

Awww, they are both cuties !! Really beautiful. Glad all is well thus far. Looking forward to more pics and stories.

Thanks everyone. We think they're both pretty darn cute too :biggrin2:

Mavis is really settling in now. She sleeps right beside our bed at night, she's made that area her "safe spot" as she's not very fond of crates so we try not to crate her much. Her foster mom said she doesn't have a tendency to chew so we prefer to put up a gate in a safe room if we leave in lieu of a crate for her.

We leave the bedroom door open so that she has access to her "safe spot" in case she wants to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the house. Yesterday she spent most of the day in there, and I went in there with her as she really enjoys and thrives on being pet and closeness. Today, however, she's much more comfortable. Laying on our kitchen floor with Violet, the collie, and coming up for pets as she pleases. Very calm. I'm very proud :smile2: She's even found her way onto the bed and the couch for cuddle time

Here are a few more pictures compliments of my wife. She thanks you for the compliments.
