Hi!
My name is Donna. I am "mom" to a 2-1/2 year old American Eskimo Dog named Cotton and a 16-month old tri Sheltie, Barney. Barney is my third Sheltie. He's a fantastic dog and always such a happy boy! That tail of his wags nearly constantly.
Barney, Cotton, and I do agility together. Barney has shown twice in the agility ring in a "for exhibit only" capacity. This category allows you to run the dog as if he was in a trial even though he is not quite old enough to actually compete for qualifying scores. It gives the dog a chance to be in an actual trial environment and gives you, the handler, some idea as to how he is going to react to the ring. Barney has been exceptional! I'm so proud of my boy!
We live in the Dallas, TX area where it is unbearably hot. Last night at agility practice, Barney decided his favorite place to be was in the tunnel. It was cooler and shadier!!
I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you and swapping stories about our precious dogs!
