Is this a good time?

Bandit is currently 4 1/2 months old

and graduated from puppy kindergarten
the 2nd last day of puppy kindergarten we had a time trial for fun
the obstacles were in the order of
jumping over a pole
tunnel
ladder
jumping through a hole
jumping over a log
and going on a ramp

He did this all in 20 seconds, was on the leash btw. 45 seconds first time w/o leash

Agility

When you say jumping I hope the bars were on the ground and not set at a jump height. He is way to young to be jumping. But not to young for foundation work.

a think the bar was set a couple inches shy from a 1 foot.

I'd say 20 seconds is pretty fast, judging from Agility videos I've seen. But I'm no expert.

i thought this was so funny
we did a 2nd run and it was his first time off the leash. bandit had a little bit of a hard time on the ladder and jumping over a log,
his time the 2nd time was 45 seconds.

Poor bandit was very disappointed in himself. he felt like he was in trouble....i just giggled cause every other puppy was over 1 minute

Poor guy! hehehe. How wonderful for him. I have a 6 month old that I am planning on starting in agility when he is 1, and am getting a second puppy next week. She is going to be small which is apparently good for agility and flyball. All this info. on times and when to do what is great! I love this forum.

Welcome to you and to Bandit. Agility is a great activity for our pups - keeps both body and mind busy. We just took down the practice equipment I have in the backyard for my 2-1/2 year old boy - getting too cold for me, but not for him, of course.
