Is this normal?

I gave Liam a bath this past weekend and I am totally shocked at his curly hair! I have never had a sheltie with curly hair!!! Is this because he is young?

He woke me up this morning throwing up! He ate breakfast and he was OK after that. Then he threw up again... three more times... mostly liquid. Can't understand why... will wait to give him lunch and maybe only about 1/3 of his regular food to see if his tummy settles down!

He was resting in my lap earlier and playing with Beau... so I don't think it is anything too serious.

Gavin has had curly and wavy hair since he was pup, too. OK, now I need puppy snuggles and I'm at work and can't.......

Gavin always gets Pepcid A/C when he throws up (he did a decent amount when he was younger). That and withholding food for 12 hours usually limits it.
 
Do you give Pepcid A/C in liquid or pill? He was starving for lunch and broke down and gave him some! He seems totally fine now...

I LOVE Gavins's coat! Reminds me so much of Mr. Chance with the mahogany color! The recent pictures you posted of Gavin does not seem to show his coat is curly. Am I wrong?

Adorable, curly hair! Who knew? I love it
 
What a cutie pie! Personally I like the curly fur...Finnie has very straight fine fur, knots up really quick around the ears.
I also would give Piper Pepcid A/C in pill form when he was a pup. He got 1/2 a pill in the morning and 1/2 pill at bedtime...there was a stretch where he was throwing up quite a bit and it would return from time to time. Pretty much stopped when he turned a year.

That reminds me...I need to give Finnie and Piper a bath....

I did dry his fur flat on the grooming table in the attached picture but days later when it rained it got curly!

Gavin got a proper bath recently and his fur was all silky, that lasts a few weeks (he gets bathed a few times a year)....but trips to the beach and just being hosed off makes it curlier. I refer to him as having a back full of cowlicks!
 
It maybe looks a bit curlier than preferred, but I've found that at this age coats are weird and unpredictable. They seem to be half puppy, half adult, half coming in half being blown, half short and odd, half long and flowing..so who knows! I do agree that blowing it out is a good choice. And as an extra trick, use a boar bristle brush when you dry and pull the fur straight. Seems to help!
