Japanese tape.....where/what to buy?

Aiden is just over 4 months old. His glue came out about 1.5 weeks ago. I've always glued but never terribly successfully. I always end up with too much glue. And then give up. Thought I might try taping. His ears are currently tipped but flying out......hound like. I thought I might try jaoenese tape but do not know where to find it. I googled and it pointed me to Japanese washi (paper) tape available at Michaels. Or is this something I can get at the pharmacy!? Is this what I should buy? Why this tape instead of just pharmacy adhesive tape? Thx in advance.
 
Na, was hoping to buy locally. I need it asap. Everytime I googled it either pointed to Sheltie websites or Michaels or Amazon for Japanese "washi" tape. So again, I ask the question.....is this the same thing? what is unique about japenese tape? I also have a medical supply sore close to home.
 
What I ended up with (here in Japan) was basically that medical tape that is safe for use on skin and extra strong....but the glue definitely lasts longer and was less hassle to set. (taking the glue out on the other hand....that was pretty terrible)
