...boy has time flown. He has really stolen my heart, but I am not surprised by that.

Poor boy goes in for his neuter and hernia repair next month. I haven't broken the news to him yet:wink2:

These photos were taken Sunday morning when I took him to breakfast with me. He enjoyed the morning air, and of course...the attention!!

Joey is so handsome! Happy birthday boy!:biggrin2:

I have a question for you about his hernia. My 10 1/2 month old puppy, Ida, has an umbilical hernia that I've thought of getting fixed when I go to spay her. I was just wondering if your dogs hernia bothers him at all? Thanks!

Thank you!:smile2:

As for his hernia, he isn't bothered by it in the very least! His is also an umbilical hernia. I've known about it since I've had him. His is on the larger sized or at least they always say "it's good sized" when vets look at it.

I'll be honest, I try not to 'feel' for it, as it bothers me!

I did ask at his last vet appointment if I should leave it, since he has had no issues from it. However, my vet felt because of it's size, it would be better to have it repaired.

I am nervous for it to be done. Part of me wants to have him just neutered, and not to worry about the hernia...but the other part feels like if I wait, it may become a problem down the road.

He is the first dog I have owned who has had one. So it is still new to me!

Happy Birthday, Joey.

ps You are an extremely handsome boy.......friendly and smart. What more could one ask for? You have it all going for you, Joey.
